The twenty acre pasture had 1000 metres of thorn hedge planted together with native trees - oak, ash, sorbus etc and other plantings - buckthorn, dogrose, honeysuckle, hazel etc.
The natural pond was stocked with carp, bullrushes etc. and the perimeter planted with hazel, alder, larch, birch, gorse, dogwood, willow etc. to provide cover and habitat for wildlife.
