Low maintenance - the use of a membrane, gravel, and
various types of mulches greatly reduces maintenance
time to large areas, whilst still looking
attractive.
Before: area prepared with a permeable membrane over
introduced top soil.
After: selected low-growing shrubs, planted through
the membrane, membrane covered in gravel, producing a
very low maintenance area.
